INTERACTIVE ACADEMICS
The Mikia School development team founded the school understanding that a textbook education was insufficient as a model of learning for our students. Rather, our team developed a curriculum flexible enough to meet the needs of changing environments and unfamiliar communities. With a focus on the home community, our teachers bring about relevant material to the students and their prospective futures.
CURRICULUM
Our curriculum has been created by a partnership between staff and community. We listen to the desires of the families and pair it with our expertise to cater to the needs of each community.
INTERACTIVITY
Weekly trips get kids outside the classroom to understand their futures and the possibilities that lie ahead. Whether it is hands-on work at a local farm or a real-life financial project, each student is able to experience a broad range of future careers and interests.
PERSONABILITY
Although many international schools have taken leaps forward to introduce technology into the classroom, we prioritize personal communication. Our classrooms are centered around communal discussion and are supplemented by technology. We believe that the development of the student is best achieved through careful and constant interaction with a teacher.
